Skydiving gifts you with another point of view

Skydiving is one of the most feared and desired extreme activity by most people. It’s an adventure sport that I was able to enjoy very close to Caucagua in the barloventenian lands of Higuerote.

It’s consists in jumping from an airplane with a parachute on your back, or in my case, with an instructor in tandem who has the equipment ready for the both of us.

Once you’re at the door of the plane it all starts to happen very quickly. Those with more experience start jumping and you see from your place how they step into the air, trusting that the parachute will open.

Once is your turn you go near the door and it’s the wind the one that greets you with a scary cold thar reminds you you’re high enough to enjoy the free fall.

At the right moment you jump… You manage to conquer your fear and start to enjoy. You value more than ever being alive and experiment the feeling of heading towards the ground at 300 Km/h.

Yelling, seeing that the world truly is round, feeling the wind, having adrenaline through the roof are some of the sensations free falling will make you feel.

What I take from the experience the most is seeing the world from another point of view. Sometimes we spend days, months or even years thinking about a problem. We see it from one point of view alone and we don’t give ourselves the opportunity to trust in life and see it from another perspective.

Skydiving for me is just like life. It’s all about trusting and enjoying, observing life from another point of view.

Conquer your fears and trust knowing that everything will be alright. Enjoy your way as if it were a stroll through the clouds.
